AWESOME NEWS!

Pop open the champagne or if you're under age, the sparkling cider because I'm celebrating. I have received the best Christmas and birthday gift EVAH! Want to know what it is???

Well it started on Friday when I received an email from Agent One telling me she loved one of my books and wanted to set up a phone call for that day! Yep, you heard me right. An agent. Wanted to talk. To ME. On the phone! It was incredibly exciting. We set up a time to talk. It was a loooong day of waiting but we had a great conversation and when it ended, she offered me rep!!!! I couldn't believe an agent actually wanted to represent me.

I found a way to calm myself down, told her I needed a few days and then sent out emails to all the agents with fulls and partials.

Then I got another email from Agent Two who wanted to talk on the phone as well!!! We talked the same day. I totally clicked with her and we had a great conversation. She had a few concerns we chatted about and decided to talk again on Monday morning.

Then I got another email. This was from Agent Three who hadn't gotten my email that I had offers, but wanted me to know she loved the partial and wanted the full!!! I sent it... She read it and we talked on the phone on Saturday and Agent Three offered rep!!!

I. Almost. Had. A. Heart attack.

It was such a crazy, whirlwind weekend. Two other agents who had the fulls told me they would get back to me before Tuesday. One didn't. The other did on Monday and guess what? Agent Four offered rep!

I also had my second call with Agent Two on Monday and I loved what she had to say even more.

Imagine me freaking out. Getting an agent is one of those things you hope for, but you never really expect to happen. Then you have four offers from four equally cool, talented agents. I was stressed all weekend. Happy. Extremely happy, but stressed. It was such a tough decision, but I think I kind of always knew who I would fit best with.

SOOOO, today I got on the phone with Agent Two and let her know I was officially accepting her offer of representation! I am SO happy to say that I'm now represented by Denise Little of Ethan Ellenberg Literary Agency.

*high pitched squeal of joy*
